The events in our world fill us with questions:
- Why do evil people seem to get away with things?
- Why do disasters happen?
- Does God really care about the hurts and pains of life?
As we ask these questions, we often wonder—is it OK to ask? Are questions a lack of faith?
We will attempt to answer these questions this week as we study both Habakkuk, the prophet who first said, “the just will live by faith” and the book of Nahum, the prophet lived at the same time and prophesied the final destruction of Nineveh.
Habakkuk could not understand how God could use evil people and disasters to work out his will and he poured out his questions to God. Join us in class this week, Sept. 4, 2011 at 9:15 to see God’s response.
Oh, this sounds so good! Your teachings are so relevant and so thought provoking! Again thanks for all your hard work to share with us your insights from the scriptures! I will greatly miss being in class for the next 4 Sundays, but, hopefully, you will be able to get the lessons online so I can read through them there…not quite the same, but good none the less!
We’ll miss you! But our Lord is close to both of us and I will be posting the lessons and will try to do audio also!
